Scenes of Summer

Here are a couple of photos from this summer.  I am still loving the phone camera.  I have several more images that I will be posting that are a little more recent.

Morning Scenery

This was one more shot I meant to put in the earlier post but, it kept uploading sideways.

New Camera

This is a photograph I took with my new phone.  I probably wouldn't have pointed my DSLR at this but, something about having this phone inspires me to take different kinds of photos.

Brock

Here is a photograph from a shoot I did a couple of nights ago.  I haven't worked through all the images yet but, it has been so long since I have posted that I thought I would throw this one out.  There may be more to come... we'll see.

The Hub and Commute Bags

This post was kind of incidental.  I went to The Hub to talk business with Isaac of Commute Bags and ended up hanging out  for a couple hours.  I had a great time!  I got schooled in all things coffee/espresso and enjoyed some as well.  I never thought I would enjoy straight espresso but, I have been craving another cup ever since.  I had no idea that the world/flavor of coffee was as complex and interesting as those of wine and beer.  There is a lot that goes into it and these guys are more than willing to take the time to share their knowledge of the craft (and it is truly that).

I HIGHLY recommend this spot!  You don't have to know your stuff to enjoy this place.  I say that because sometimes it is intimidating to walk into a place where there are connoisuers who look down their nose at you.  This is not that place and these connoisuers/craftsmen are ready to fill you in.  Awesome drinks and great people.

Also, this is the home of Commute Bags (the initial reason for my visit).  If you make the trip for the drinks flip over to the other side (where the sell and repair bikes) and check out these sweet bags made from "upcycled" material.  There is a picture of one in the post but, these things can be customized in all kinds of ways (just ask).

New Toy

This is the vintage polaroid camera my wife bought for a quarter.  She picked it up from a thrift store and I was really excited about using it.  However, when I went to buy some film for it I found that the price of the film far exceeded the camera.  It is anywhere from $50 and up for one pack!   So, maybe one day it will get used but for now it solely and aesthetic piece.
